Raza Academy, India oppose Switzerland Ban on Burqa

Switzerland has indeed implemented a ban on face coverings, including the burqa, in public spaces.

The ban applies to all public spaces, including streets, public transportation, schools, and government buildings.

Swiss ‘burqa ban’ to take effect from January 1 2025.

The ban has sparked debates about religious freedom, tolerance, and integration.

Raza Academy strongly oppose the recent decision to ban the burqa in Switzerland. Raza Academy president Muhammad Saeed Noori said that “This decision is not only anti-Islamic but also infringes upon the fundamental rights of Muslim women to practice their faith freely”.
