Raza Academy Condemns blasts in South Mumbai

The Raza Academy and several other Muslim organisations in Mumbai have strongly condemned the blasts, which occurred today in the south Mumbai localities. The blast, which killed 35 people and injured several others, occurred in the afternoon and immediately created panic all over Mumbai. The Blasts have proved that terrorists have no religion, as the majority of people injured in today’s blasts are Muslims……….!!!!

The Academy convened an emergency meeting at the Residence of Hazrat Maulana Musannah Miyan where the Ulemas condemned the blast and urged assistance to the people affected. Hazrat Maulana Musannah Miyan said that Islam did not sanction any type of terrorist activities and hence such incidents did not have any connection with Islam. Maulana Mohammed Saeed Noori of the Raza Academy called upon the government to announce compensation of Rs 500000/- for those killed while Rs 100000/ for those injured. He also demanded government jobs for the family members of the deceased. Hazrat Maulana Mansoor Ali (Sect, All India Sunni Jamiatul Ulema) demanded an impartial enquiry into the blasts and urged the Police department to take strict action against the culprits. While maintaining that the organisations stood with the country to deter all terrorist attacks Maulana Khalilur Rehman (President, All Indian Tehreek Aimma e Masajid) said that people should stay calm and not get carried away by rumours.
